Despite the trend, one local project is still right on track. This time next year, Greek Peak will no longer be just a ski resort; it will be a year-round family destination. The project comes with a $42 million price tag -- but there's one major component resort president Al Kryger says will make everything worth it: An indoor water park, which Kryger says should be under construction in another two to three weeks.[NewsChannel 9 WSYR]

That real-estate element, Hope Lake Lodge, is on track to turn Greek Peak into a year-round destination, starting next October.
Steel and concrete already outline the 23 million dollar, 110-unit condo-hotel.

Steel beams are just the start of Hope Lake Lodge Resort in Virgil. Throughout the winter, crews will be working on the construction of an indoor water park and condominium complex at Greek Peak Ski Resort.[News 10 Now]
