News Report - Magnificent Mile Lights Festival Chicago 2008 Parade
Thousands of people are expected along Michigan Avenue Saturday night for the annual Magnificent Mile Lights Festival.[ABC7Chicago.com]
It is now considered of the great avenues of the world. One of the street's most famous events is the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival, www.themagnificentmile.com and this year the festival is honored with its very own book.[ABC7Chicago.com]
The festival is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. from Rush Street and Oak Street and will travel south on Michigan Avenue to Wacker Drive. A fireworks display will immediately follow the parade and will be visible along the Chicago River between Michigan Avenue and Columbus Drive.[Chicago Breaking News]
Metra will operate two extra inbound trains and an extra evening outbound train Saturday on its Burlington Northern Santa Fe route to accommodate spectators at the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival.[Naperville Sun]
